Weekly Sunday Study Groups are held from 2pm to 4pm. Classes would be held for all students of Abilities Empowered where they would have teachers who would be specialised to help and support special needs and disadvantaged students. The student will get support on learning difficulties, homework and assignment help as well as exam preparation and support.
'How to Maximise your ATAR' is a free seminar organised by Abilities Empowered. This study seminar is exclusive to students who suffer from Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia and other learning disabilities.
This seminar is the first of a string of free seminars Abilities Empowered will be conducting this year.
If you know anyone who is suffering from any learning disability who wishes to succeed in the HSC exams this year, let them know about this program!
It's free and will surely be very helpful.
'Empower and Educate The Girl Child' Awareness Meet
Abilities Empowered partnered with Achievers Academy in celebration of International Women's Day at their Sky City, Bella Vista Centre last 8th of March 2017.
Parents, students, and teachers of Achievers Academy and Abilities Empowered showed their Support of International Women’s Day.
In many parts of the world, the education of the girl child is neglected. Together, we can raise awareness and call for support in educating every female child.
Let us empower women of all ages to empower our nation. #BeBoldForChange
“We see the ability in your disability”
Such is the theme of the mini expo held by Abilities Empowered in celebration of the International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD).
Every year, the UN promotes awareness and understanding of people with Disability through collaborations with different organisations. In 2017, Abilities Empowered and Achievers Academy teamed up to launch the event expo at the Sky City Building in Bella Vista. The expo showcased 2017's theme, “Achieving 17 Goals for the Future We Want”. Esteemed speakers came to grace the event such as Prof K Sen, founder of Abilities Empowered, Dr Michelle Byrne, the Councillor and former Mayor of Baulkham Hills Shire, and Councillor Ryan Tracey of the Hills Shire. Louise Hodda from the Asthma Foundation even had an interesting demonstration about Asthma.
With sponsorships from Crave Property Advisory, Prompt Driving School, AMP Personal Banking, Sen Real Estate, and Reya Business Services, and the support of the Asthma Foundation Australia, Dyslexia Association, and the Hills Shire, Abilities Empowered successfully launched the event to promote awareness of different learning abilities and inclusion of people with any form of disability. This year, we hope to hold more events that showcase the abilities of people with disabilities and further aid them into employment.
The event in 2017 was a grand success; however, Abilities Empowered hopes that the inclusion of people with disability does not stop with special events. Abilities Empowered hopes that this is just the beginning of a new era where people with disabilities are included in all walks of life and not only on one day.
Held from 10am – 12pm every Saturday. Study tips and exam preparation. Effective exam preparation makes everything run a little smoother when the exam period rolls around. During one’s schooling life it is always hard to handle examinations and students feel stressed during this period.
At Abilities Empowered we would have specialist teachers who would discuss how one can manage time, study space, stress, avoid surprises on exam day, get enough sleep and techniques to overcome challenges as well as tips and advice on how to better manage study and prepare for exams.
