No doubt life is full of challenges but it is the manner in which we face and overcome these challenges that makes us what and who we are.
My association with Abilities Empowered (AE) and Prof K Sen dates back to the time when I was in my HSC year.
It was a chance meeting with Prof Sen which changed not only my perspective on life but my life itself.
She added a new meaning to everything I did, the way I perceived myself, making me aware of my abilities and strengths, instead of focusing on what I couldn’t do.
She taught me English, Maths and Business Studies for the HSC and I passed the Board Exams very successfully, surpassing the expectations of my school, my teachers and my family.
Today I am still a part of Abilities Empowered but in a different role – I have joined part-time and I work as a member of the AE team.
On this journey which I share with Abilities Empowered, I am thankful for the new meaning AE has brought to my life…
